Sona Thread House

Sona Thread House has been around for quite a while now. We are located at No: 6/3 on Second Street in Muthuvel Nagar, just off K.K. Road. It is a busy little spot, especially during the festive seasons when everyone needs matching threads and embroidery supplies. We have shelves full of different colors and types of thread. Some are thick for heavy fabrics and some are very fine. My father started this because he saw people struggling to find specific shades in this part of town. We keep things simple here. You walk in, tell us what you are looking for, and we help you find it. The shop is not very big, so it gets crowded sometimes when more than three people are inside at once. We spend a lot of time sorting through boxes and making sure the stock is okay. People from around Muthuvel Nagar know us well. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just lots of thread and a counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to find the right bobbin. We try to keep the prices fair so the local tailors keep coming back. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the tiny items, but we manage. If you are coming from K.K. Road, just look for the small sign on the second street. We are usually there from morning until late evening, just doing our thing.
