Solorex Apparels is located at No. 45 on Police Station Road in Perur. It is a very easy place to find because the police station is such a well-known spot for everyone in the neighborhood. Perur is a nice place to work, it has a bit of a slower pace compared to the city center. We start our day when the sun is just coming up, getting the work area ready and checking the schedule. The building we are in is sturdy and keeps the rain out during the monsoon months. We have a few rooms dedicated to the different stages of making the clothes. Most of our time is spent looking at patterns or checking the finish on the garments. Police Station Road is usually quite orderly, and we have good neighbors on both sides of us. Sometimes the temple bells from nearby carry over into the workspace in the evenings. We don't have a flashy storefront. It’s more about the work going on inside the walls. People in Perur know us mostly by word of mouth. We keep a simple routine and try to stay organized, though sometimes the fabric scraps get everywhere by the end of a long shift. It’s a comfortable place to be, and we have been part of this street for a good number of years. We just keep our heads down and get the orders done.
