You can find us over at 33A-1 on the Madukkarai Market Road. We are part of the Sidco Industrial Estate, which is a pretty loud and busy place to be. We are located near the New Dhina Malar office, just off the main path in Sidco. The workshop is usually filled with the sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. It is an industrial area, so there is always some kind of noise or smell of welding in the air. Our shop is not very big, but we have managed to cram in all the machinery we need to get the engineering work done. The floor is concrete and has plenty of oil stains from over the years. We do not worry too much about the aesthetics of the place; it is built for work, not for looking pretty. There are racks of steel pipes and flat bars leaning against the walls. We spend our mornings checking the machines and getting through the list of tasks for the day. Sometimes the heat in the shed gets a bit much, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the big doors wide open. People from the neighboring units often drop by to borrow a tool or just to see what we are working on. It is a tight-knit community here in the estate. We just do our bit, finish the jobs, and head home when the sun goes down. It is straightforward labor that we have been doing for quite a while now.
