Shri Shivani Engineering

Our shop is located at number 44 on Rabindranath Tagore Road, right near Einstein Public School in the Ganapathypudur area of Avarampalayam. If you’re looking for us, you can usually hear the sounds of metal work and welding before you even see the sign on the gate. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time, and most people use the school as a landmark to find our building. Shri Shivani Engineering is basically a place where we take on all sorts of fabrication and mechanical jobs. It’s a dusty place, filled with scraps of iron and old machinery, but that's just the nature of what we do. We aren't into fancy presentations; we just care about making sure the parts we build are solid and fit the way they should. There are only a few of us working here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from cutting steel to cleaning up the floor at the end of the shift. The heat can get pretty intense during the summer months, especially with the welding torches going all day long, but we just keep at it. People from around the community often stop by with broken bits of equipment or ideas for something they need built for their own workshops. We take a look, give them a fair idea of what can be done, and then get to work. It’s a simple life and we enjoy the hands-on nature of the job.
