This company is based out of the Sakthi Textiles mill premises on the Coimbatore Road in Pollachi. It might seem a bit strange to have a farming business inside a textile mill area, but that’s just how we have it set up. Pollachi is known for its greenery and agriculture, so being here makes a lot of sense for us. We spend a lot of our time thinking about land and crops. The office is simple and we mostly use it for keeping records and meeting with the people who work on the ground. You can see the hills in the distance when the weather is clear. We aren't a big corporate outfit with fancy suits. Most of the time, we are out checking on things or talking to the laborers. The road outside is busy with people heading towards Coimbatore or into the center of Pollachi. It’s a quiet life in a way, even with the textile mill nearby. We focus on the practical side of farming and making sure the land is looked after. There are always challenges like the rain coming at the wrong time or pests, but we just deal with them as they happen. It’s a slow business compared to others, but we enjoy the pace. We have been in this spot for some time now and it feels like home.
