Anand Texknit

We are located at 10, China Thottam, right on Kangayam Road. If you know this part of the world, you know it’s all about the textile industry. Anand Texknit is our small corner of that world. We focus on knitting and garment work. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can keep our machines running. The heat here can be quite something, so the big fans are always on, blowing air around the knitting floor. It’s a noisy environment with the clicking and humming of the needles. We have heaps of yarn in different weights and colors stacked up. Most of the folks working here have been doing this for years; they can tell if a machine is off just by the sound it makes. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and you’re right there in the middle of the production. We spend our days watching the tension on the threads and making sure the fabric comes out without any dropped stitches. Kangayam Road is always busy with trucks carrying goods, and we’re just one of many spots along the way. We keep it simple. We take the orders, run the machines, and pack the goods. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping an eye on the details. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to do the work right every single day and keep things moving without any big delays.
