Shakthii Steel Fabrications

We started Shakthii Steel Fabrications a while back here in Avarampalayam. You can find us right on No.9/2, South Street 6, near the Mahathma Gandhi Road intersection. It’s a busy spot but we like being in the middle of things. Mostly, we just spend our days cutting metal and welding pieces together. The workshop is always a bit dusty and loud because there is usually a machine running or someone hammering something into shape. We don’t have any fancy offices or anything like that. Just a shop where we get the work done. People around here know where we are if they need a gate fixed or some steel frames made for a project. It’s mostly just hard work and getting the measurements right so things fit where they are supposed to. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and makes the steel tough to handle, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We’ve got a few guys who have been with us for a long time and they know their way around the welding machines. We don't spend much time talking, we just get the orders finished and move on to the next one. If you walk past our place, you’ll probably hear the grinders going. It’s a simple life running a fabrication shop. We try to keep things organized but when you have stacks of steel everywhere, it gets a bit messy. That is just part of the job I guess.
