Service Engineer

Our workshop is at D154 in the Kuruchi Housing Unit 2. We are right near the Sidco Post in Coimbatore. It’s a practical location for the kind of engineering work we do. Being Service Engineer means we are usually busy with technical stuff all day. The housing unit area is pretty quiet compared to the main city center, which is nice for focusing on repairs. We have a basic setup here. There are a few tables, plenty of tools, and usually a pile of things waiting to be looked at. We don't put on a show for anyone. If you come by, you see exactly what we are doing. Coimbatore has a lot of industry, so there is always something that needs fixing or servicing. We’ve stayed in this Kuruchi spot because it’s easy for people to find once they know the landmark of the Sidco Post. The building isn't anything fancy, just a solid place to keep our gear dry and safe. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just us working through the list of jobs each morning. The neighbors are used to the sound of our tools by now. We try to keep the loudest work for the middle of the day so we don't bother the folks living in the housing unit too much. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to clean up the benches. Most days, though, we are working right through until it gets dark.
