Senthan Knit Fashions

Senthan Knit Fashions is right near the Perumal Kovil in Thotiya Mannarai. If you are looking for us, we are at No.5, not far from the Mannarai P O. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the music sometimes, which is nice. Our workshop is a plain brick building. Inside, it's full of the hum of knitting machines. We work with a lot of yarn here. Every day, the floor gets covered in tiny bits of thread. We sweep it up at the end of the shift, but by the next morning, it’s back again. It’s just the nature of the work. We are a small crew. We don't have managers in suits. Just us and the machines. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend hours getting the grease off our hands after fixing them. It’s messy work, but someone has to do it. The Mannarai area is a good place to be. We know the people at the post office well because we're there often. We don't do anything flashy. We just take the orders, knit the pieces, and pack them up. It’s a simple life. We don't ask for much more than a steady supply of work and a bit of rain to cool things down in the summer. If you come by No.5, you'll see us there. We’ll probably be busy with some new rolls of yarn that just came in.
