Our facility is located on 2nd Street in Kumarasamy Nagar, not too far from the Civil Aerodrome here in Coimbatore. It's an industrial part of town, so there's always activity around us. Working in a forge means it gets pretty warm inside, especially during the summer months. You get used to the sound of the hammers and the heat from the furnaces after a while. We have a solid crew of workers who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the shop floor better than anyone. We deal with metal and heavy machinery all day long. It's dusty and loud, but that’s the nature of the work. Coimbatore has a lot of engineering history, and we feel like a small part of that tradition. We don't spend much time on the computer or in fancy meetings. Most of our day is spent checking the output and making sure the machines are running as they should. Sometimes things break and we have to fix them on the fly. The neighborhood around New8A is mostly other small factories and workshops. We usually grab lunch at a local spot nearby. It’s hard work, but there’s a sense of satisfaction when a job is finished. We just keep our heads down and get the metal shaped. It's what we do here every day. No one mind a bit of dirt when there is work to be done.
