Saroram Apparel

Saroram Apparel is located over at Door No. 47/1 1A on Site No. 39 in Mahalakshmi Nagar. It’s in the Kovil Vazhi area near Muthanampalayam Post which is a bit of a mouthful to say if you aren't from around here. We are mostly focused on making apparel and we have a small setup that works for us. It’s not a big factory with hundreds of people. It’s more of a local operation where we know every piece of fabric that comes through the door. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main city and we like that because we can actually hear ourselves think while we work. We have a few machines and a big cutting table that takes up most of the room. Most of our days are spent measuring things and making sure the stitching is okay. We don't have any big marketing team or a fancy website. We just rely on the work we do and the people who know us in Mahalakshmi Nagar. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to see what we are making and we might have a cup of tea together. It is a simple way to run a business but it has worked for us so far. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the orders that come in. Most of the time we are just sorting through thread or packing things into boxes.
