Thirupathi Garments

Our workshop is at 3/1 Murugan Nagar in the Vinayagapuram area. It falls under the Saravanampatti Post. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main city. We do garment work. It’s mostly sewing and cutting all day long. My uncle started this place and now a few of us run it together. We have about ten sewing machines. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but we put in some extra tubes last month. We don't really do marketing. People just walk in or call us. The neighbors are nice and don't mind the noise of the machines too much. We try to finish up by six so we can get home. The street is a bit narrow, so parking a big van can be a headache sometimes. We just make basic clothes. Nothing like what you see on TV. It's practical stuff for regular people. We have a small table for tea and lunch in the corner. Sometimes the cats from the street come in looking for scraps. We keep the doors open for the breeze. It's a humble setup, just a local garment shop trying to keep up with the work we have. We don't have a big mission. We just want to do the job right and get paid. That's the way it's always been for us since we opened up.
