Sakthi Precision Products

We’re based out of Podanur, specifically on Mudaliar Street in KV Palayam. It’s a nice enough area, though parking can be a bit of a pain on No. 26 if you’ve got a big truck. We focus on precision products, so we spend most of our time staring at machines and measuring things down to the millimeter. It’s the kind of work where you can’t really afford to be distracted. The shop floor is where most of the action is. It’s noisy and smells like oil and metal, which is exactly how it should be. We aren't some big factory with thousands of workers. We’re a smaller team and we’ve all been working together for quite a while. We know our machines and we know what they can do. People usually come to us when they need something made exactly to a specific size. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in our work clothes. We think that’s better anyway. It shows we’re actually doing the work. We’ve had some ups and downs over the years, like any business, but we keep going. We don’t talk much about goals or visions. We just focus on the piece of metal in front of us. If that’s right, then everything else usually falls into place. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Podanur. We take things as they come and try to keep the machines running smoothly every day. It's a living and it keeps us sharp.
