S. R. Engineers

Our place is located right on Karaiyampalaym Main Road. You really can't miss No. 294A if you're driving through the area. It's out near Mylampatti Post, which is a bit of a trek for some folks, but we honestly like being out here. There’s a lot of space for all our equipment and materials. We started S. R. Engineers because we knew how to fix things and wanted a spot of our own to work. The main road gets busy with trucks and people commuting to their jobs every day. We spend most of our waking hours in the shop. It’s often dusty and sometimes the tools aren't exactly where they should be, but we find them eventually. We’ve been at this address long enough that the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute. We don’t have a big front desk or a receptionist. Just the main workshop and a small cluttered desk in the corner for the bills. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running. Sometimes we have to shout just to hear each other over the noise. It’s just how it is in this line of work. We drink a lot of tea and coffee to keep going through the day. The rain hits the tin roof hard during the monsoon season. It's a solid building though. We aren't trying to be the biggest outfit around, just trying to do the jobs that come our way and keep the doors open.
