Rukmani Engineering Works

You can find us over on Kuppanaicken Road, specifically at 5/235/C4 in Somayampalayam. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the city center, which we actually like. We’ve been running Rukmani Engineering Works for a good while now. The shop isn’t anything special to look at, just a sturdy building with our tools and machines. We do a lot of lathe work and general machining for the local businesses around here. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the big fans going full blast. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood spot. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. Word of mouth is how most people find us. Someone needs a part fixed or a custom piece made, they just drop by the shop on Cross-3. We take a look, tell them if we can do it, and then get to work. There’s always the smell of cutting oil and the sound of metal being turned. It’s dirty work and our clothes are always stained, but that’s part of the job. We don’t make big promises, we just try to get the work done by the time the customer needs it. It’s a simple life, really. We open up early, drink our coffee, and start the machines. As long as the power stays on, we’re busy. We just keep plugging away at it every day.
