R.K.S.Metal Screens

Our shop is R.K.S.Metal Screens and we are at 59, Kasthuribai 4th Street in Ganapathy. It is a bit different from the huge industrial parks because it feels more like a regular neighborhood that just has workshops in it. We make metal screens. It is a lot of repetitive work but you have to pay attention or the mesh won't be right. We have been on 4th Street for quite a while now. The people living nearby are used to the sounds of our work. We try not to be too loud too early in the morning. Inside, we have rolls of wire and different frames leaning against the walls. It is a bit cramped sometimes when a big shipment comes in. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you'll probably find us on the shop floor with our sleeves rolled up. We do a lot of measuring and double-checking. It is important that the screens are straight. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a break when the sun isn't too hot. We know most of the people who walk by every day. It's a local business and we like being part of the Ganapathy area. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one screen at a time. The local tea vendor brings us snacks twice a day.
