We have been here at 48, Sastri Road in Venkitapuram for quite a while now. It’s a busy little spot and most of the folks around here know where to find us when they need something fixed or a part made up. The shop floor usually has a few projects going on at once. There is always the sound of someone grinding metal or a lathe running in the back. We don't have a big fancy front office or anything like that. Just the workspace and some old desks where we keep the paperwork. People just walk in off Sastri Road and tell us what they’re looking for. Sometimes it’s a small job that takes twenty minutes, and other times we are stuck on a problem for three days straight. We just get on with it. The grease gets everywhere and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep, but that is just how an engineering shop works. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so they know the machines inside out. We try to keep things simple. If a part needs making, we make it. If a machine is broken, we try our best to get it turning again. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. Venkitapuram is a good place to be based. It’s easy for people to reach us. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
