Rado Clothing is tucked away at 12/7 Kottain Thottam 3rd Street in Kumarananthapuram. If you’re looking for us, the best way is to find the Kottai Mariamman Kovil and look right behind it. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers every morning, which is a nice way to start the workday. Our street is a bit narrow, so when we get deliveries, it can be a real struggle to get the trucks in and out without blocking someone’s scooter. The building itself is quite simple. We’ve used the same space for a long time, and every corner is filled with something—fabric, thread, or finished shirts. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We have a small group of workers who are like family. We know who’s having a good day and who needs an extra cup of tea. The work is steady but can get intense when deadlines are close. We don’t have an air-conditioned office or anything like that. We just have big windows and fans that keep the air moving while we cut and sew. It’s an honest way to make a living. People know us in the neighborhood as the garment place behind the temple. We don't do much in the way of advertising because we’re usually too busy making sure the current orders are sorted out properly. It is just a regular day-to-day operation for us.
