Pushpa Fashions

We are located at Shed No.72 in the Tahdco Industrial Estate here in Tiruppur. If you know this part of Tamil Nadu, you know it’s all about the textiles. Pushpa Fashions isn't a big fancy boutique; it’s a working shed where we get the clothes made. There are sewing machines going almost all day long. The noise is something you just get used to after a week. We have a small group of workers who’ve been with us through the busy seasons and the slow ones too. Tiruppur can be a hectic place with all the shipping and the fabric moving around, but we manage. The shed gets a bit warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going full blast. We mostly focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the fabric isn't wasted. No big marketing department or anything like that exists here. People mostly find out about us because they saw what we made for someone else. It’s a lot of manual work and checking every piece by hand. Sometimes the thread colors don't match exactly what was ordered, so we have to start over. That’s just life in the garment trade. We like being in the industrial estate because it feels like everyone is working toward the same goal. It’s a long day, but we like it.
