Prime Tech Engineering

Our workshop is located at 506, Ellai Thottam Road in the Peelamedu area. Prime Tech Engineering is basically just a large room with a lot of metal and tools. It stays pretty loud because of the machines and the traffic coming off the main road. The floor is stained with oil in a few places, which is expected for an engineering place. We spend most of our hours in work clothes. We don't wear suits or ties here. The air smells a bit like grease and burnt metal. It’s a honest smell, I think. We have a small office section in the corner with a computer that takes forever to start up. Most of the real work happens on the floor anyway. Peelamedu is a good spot for us because there are other shops nearby if we need a specific part or a bit of help with something. We know the guys at the tea stall around the corner pretty well. Usually, the day goes by fast because there is always something to fix or a drawing to look at. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just try to make things that work and don't break. If something goes wrong, we stay late and fix it. That is just the way it goes. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we put a bucket under it and keep working.
