People know us on Avinashi Road because we’ve been here at 702/12 for a long time. It is a loud spot with plenty of traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the engineering work and design projects that come our way. It is not a fancy setup, just some desks, computers, and a lot of coffee cups lying around. Most of the guys here have been with the company for years, so we all know how each other works without having to say much. We spend our mornings going through emails and checking on the status of different jobs. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually hear the fans in the machines. Usually, lunch is just something quick brought from home or picked up from a nearby stall. We don't really do big meetings unless something goes wrong or a deadline is breathing down our necks. Most of our day is spent looking at drawings and making sure the specs are right. It’s a lot of technical detail, which keeps us busy until it’s time to head home. The building isn't the newest on the block, but it serves us well enough. We keep the doors open when the weather allows, though the road noise usually makes us close them back up pretty fast. It is just a regular place where people come to do their jobs and then go home to their families.
