Premier Plate Fabrications Co.

We’re located over on Abbas Garden Street, just off Thadagam Road in the TVS Nagar area. It’s pretty close to Edayarpalayam. Our shop focuses on plate fabrication, so there’s always a lot of heavy metal around. The space is SF 355/1-B, and it’s basically just a big shed where we do all the work. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines have been running all morning. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or anything like that. We just open the doors and keep working. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know the routine. It’s a lot of lifting and measuring. Sometimes the street gets narrow with deliveries coming in, but we make do. We aren’t really interested in being a big corporation. We just like the work and the fact that we’re right here in the community. You’ll usually find a couple of us standing outside during a break, having tea. Then it’s back to the plates. We don't have a receptionist, so if you come by, just look for the guy holding the tape measure. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve been at this spot for a while and don't plan on moving. Thadagam Road is a good place for a business like ours because it’s easy for the trucks to find us. We just keep our heads down and get the fabrication finished as the orders come in.
