Poppys Knitwear

Poppys Knitwear is over at 33, M.P. Nagar. It’s a simple building where we do all our work. M.P. Nagar is a busy area, and there is always something going on outside our doors. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of the knitting machines. We have stacks of yarn in different colors and piles of sweaters and shirts waiting to be boxed up. It’s not a fancy place with a big reception area. It’s a workspace. We spend our days making sure the machines are running right and the stitching is solid. Sometimes a thread breaks and we have to stop and fix it, which can be a pain but that's how it goes. The people working here have been around for years, so we have a good rhythm. We don't talk much about our vision or anything like that. We just talk about the production schedule and how many pieces we need to finish by Friday. It’s honest, hard work. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the fibers in the air, but we are used to it. We aren't trying to be a big global brand, we just want to make good knitwear. M.P. Nagar is a good spot for us because it’s central. We just come in, do the knitting, and go home. That’s how we’ve always done things at number 33, and it seems to work out fine.
