Sri Sowdeswari Amman Garments

Sri Sowdeswari Amman Garments is found at 9 Murugananthapuram 4th Street, just off PN Road. We are very close to the Bharat Petroleum bunk, which is how most people find us if they are new to the area. Being near the Bharat Petroleum bunk twice over makes us easy to spot. It is a busy little shop on a street that always has something going on. Inside, it is a bit crowded with machines, thread, and fabric everywhere. We don’t have much in the way of decoration because every bit of space is used for the work. The noise of the sewing machines is constant, but you stop noticing it after a few minutes. We spend our days making sure the garments are put together right. It is a lot of manual work and your eyes can get tired after a long shift. Being near PN Road means we get a lot of people passing by, and the bunk is a good landmark. We don’t have a big corporate board or any mission statements. We are just a local garment shop trying to do good work. Most of our workers live in Murugananthapuram, so it feels like a family business even if we aren’t all related. We just take the work as it comes and try to stay busy. It is a simple life and we like being part of the neighborhood.
