Coimbatore Lakshmi Exporters operates out of No. 132 on Avinashi Road. We are in the Peelamedu Pudur area. It is a very busy stretch of road, so there is always noise from the buses and cars passing by. Our building is right in the thick of it. We have been here for a while, handling different types of exports. The work involves a lot of paperwork and even more heavy lifting. We spend hours in the warehouse area moving things around. It’s dusty work, and we usually end the day pretty tired. We don't have a glossy brochure or a mission statement on the wall. We just have a list of things that need to go out by the end of the week. Our team is small and we don't really do formal meetings. We just talk over tea in the morning about what needs doing. Peelamedu Pudur is a good place for this kind of business because we are close to everything we need. Sometimes the electricity acts up, but we just wait it out and start the machines back up when we can. We are just regular people working on Avinashi Road. We don't pretend to be anything more than a local export house. It’s a lot of hard work, but we are used to the daily grind and the heat.
