Parvathi Old Steels

Parvathi Old Steels is based out in Kalipalayam. Our address is 2/53, which is easy to find if you are in the K Pudhupalayam area. It is not a very big place, just a yard where we keep the old steel and iron stuff. We have been doing this for a long time. It’s mostly just us and a few workers moving things around. The ground is usually dusty and there is a lot of rust on everything. That is just how it is with old metal. We get stuff brought in on trucks and then we sort through it. It’s heavy work and it gets tiring when the sun is out. There isn't much shade here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just talk to the people who come by looking for something specific. Most of our neighbors are also doing similar manual work. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the city. We keep a small office in the corner for the paperwork. It’s got a fan and a couple of chairs. Sometimes people stop by just to chat for a bit. We don’t mind. It’s just how things go in Kalipalayam. We wake up, open the gate, and see what the day brings. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. We are just a local scrap business trying to stay afloat like everyone else.
