P K R Engineering Works

Our shop is tucked away in Gautam Nagar, right off the Old Airport Road in Secunderabad. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking for it, but the locals know where we are. We’ve been doing engineering work here at 8-234/1 for a long time. The space is filled with lathes, drills, and piles of scrap metal that we haven’t quite decided to throw away yet. Bowenpally is always busy, especially with the trucks and the traffic coming through, so there’s always a bit of a roar from the street outside. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of metal hitting metal. We handle a lot of different jobs, mostly repairs or making small parts that people can’t find anywhere else. Our floor is always covered in a bit of oil, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the work we do. We don’t spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff because we’re usually too busy with our hands in a machine. My cousin and a few other guys help out, and we’ve been working together so long we don’t even have to talk much to get things done. The building is old and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it stays cool enough in the mornings. We just try to do honest work and make sure whatever leaves our shop is actually fixed right. We stay here until the work is done.
