Omega Engineering

Omega Engineering is tucked away at Plot No. 42 in Chinthamani Nagar. We’re close to Shoba Nagar Road in the Avarampalayam area. It’s a neighborhood where people know each other, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. Our workshop is where we spend most of our daylight hours. We handle various engineering tasks, mostly involving lathe work and milling. It’s a hands-on kind of place. You won't find any slick receptionists here. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us covered in shop dust or oil. We like it that way. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. The machines we use are old but they still run fine if you take care of them. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment as much as we do working on customer projects. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to take a break, which is when we usually catch up on the local news with the neighbors. We don’t do much advertising. People find us because their fathers or uncles used to come here. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It’s not about making a fortune, it’s just about making a living and doing a decent job with our hands. Avarampalayam is a good place to be, and we plan on staying here for as long as we can. Our doors are usually open to let in a bit of a breeze. We just enjoy the work.
