If you are looking for Om Sai Ram Engg., we are tucked away at 8/150 in Urumandampalayam. It's near Gnanambika Mills in Shastri Nagar. It is a quiet enough area most of the time, which suits us just fine. We started this engineering shop with just a couple of machines and a lot of long hours. Nowadays, things are a bit more settled, but the work is still the same. We handle a lot of small parts and repair jobs that come our way. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday. There isn't a receptionist or anyone to answer the phones constantly, so sometimes you just have to walk in and find one of us. It’s a very hands-on environment. Most of the guys here have been working with their hands for years. We aren't trying to be a big corporation with shiny walls. It’s just a workshop where we do engineering work for the local folks and some bigger companies around. The building itself is old but it works for what we need. A lot of tea breaks happen in between jobs to keep us going. If you’re coming down towards the mills, we are just a short way off in Shastri Nagar. It's a straightforward place with no frills. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay busy without much fuss. That’s how we do things.
