New Era Machine Centre

Down at 32/74-75, Nehru Street in B R Puram, Peelamedu, you’ll find us at New Era Machine Centre. This place is usually a bit noisy because that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with machines and parts all day. We have various pieces of equipment sitting around, some new and some that have seen better days. People come in looking for specific components or wanting to know how a certain machine works, and we do our best to help them out without making it too complicated. It’s a dusty kind of job sometimes, but we don’t mind getting our hands a little dirty. Peelamedu is a busy area with a lot of workshops like ours, so we fit right in. The shop floor is where most of the action happens, and we spend a lot of time walking back and forth between the shelves. We’ve got a small group of guys who know their way around a wrench and a motor. It’s not a corporate setup at all; it’s just a local business where we know our neighbors and our regulars. Sometimes we stay late if a part needs to be found or a machine needs a quick fix before the next morning. It’s just part of the life here on Nehru Street, keeping things running as best as we can for the folks who come in.
