Mothi Stores

Mothi Stores sits right on 590 Oppanakara Street, which anyone from Coimbatore knows is a very crowded place to be. Being in the Town Hall area means there is always noise and people rushing past the front door. We have a lot of stuff packed into the shelves, maybe a bit too much sometimes, but people keep asking for different things so we try to keep them. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once. The building is old and has that specific smell of a busy market shop. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name and the stock we put out every morning. It gets quite hectic during the festival seasons when the whole street is blocked with shoppers. Most of the time, we are just busy counting change or reordering things that sold out faster than we thought they would. My family helps out when it gets really busy. We don't really do much else besides staying here and seeing what the day brings. 590 Oppanakara Street is where you can find us if you're walking through the main market. It is a simple life, just running the store and talking to the people who walk in. Some days are slow, but usually, there is something to do. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in with their list.
