Mokambika Fashion

We are located on Extension Street in Kaikattipudur, right here in Avinashi. Mokambika Fashion has been at this number 4/60 spot for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop but not too far. We handle all kinds of clothing work. The sewing machines make a lot of noise throughout the afternoon. We have a few local ladies who come in to help with the stitching. It’s a simple setup with a couple of large cutting tables and racks for the finished items. The street is usually quiet except for when the school kids walk past. We keep the windows open for the air but it still gets warm in the summer. We don't spend much on decorations because the clothes take up all the space. Every day is about getting through the pile of fabric we have. Sometimes customers come in with their own ideas and we see what can be done. It’s a small shop but it keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down. We've known the people on this street for years. It’s just a normal day-to-day business for us here. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop on the street. Sometimes we get orders from the bigger towns, but mostly it's just local stuff. We like it being simple and straightforward here without any complicated processes to slow us down.
