Metro Engineering Equipment Company is right near the railway crossing in Rathinapuri. You can hear the trains passing by all day long, which is something you just get used to after a week of working here. Our post box is 5105, but most people just look for our gate near the tracks. We make various types of engineering equipment in a space that has seen a lot of use over the years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but that isn't really a priority when there are orders to fill. We have a few old lathes and some newer machines too. It’s a mix of old-school techniques and whatever works for the job at hand. The guys here don't say much; they just get on with their tasks. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we spend a bit of time cleaning the surfaces before starting work. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the middle of a project, surrounded by steel bits and tools. The Rathinapuri area is quite active, and we fit right in with the other small businesses around here. We just keep our heads down and handle the engineering work that comes our way. It is a simple setup, but it serves us well enough for what we do and how we work.
