Merwin Garments

We are over at Merwin Garments, located at No. 201/ 1 Kangayam Main Road. Being on the main road means there is always something happening right outside our door. The dust from the traffic comes in sometimes through the vents so we are always sweeping the floor. It’s a very straightforward setup inside. We have the big cutting tables in the back and the sewing stations up front where the light from the windows is better. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room for guests. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone hunched over a machine or marking out fabric patterns with chalk. It’s just how we operate. Kangayam Main Road is a long one, but our number 201/ 1 is a familiar spot for those who deal with us. We’ve had these same machines for years and they still run fine if we keep them oiled right. There are piles of cardboard boxes near the entrance most days. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We just want to do the work and go home to our families in the evening. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we'd rather spend the time getting the orders out on time. It’s a bit messy with all the loose threads and needles, but we know where everything is. That is the story of Merwin Garments. We are just a local business trying to keep things moving along the Kangayam Road. Nothing more, nothing less.
