Marvel Clothing Company

Marvel Clothing Company is located out in Vadugapalayam, right off the Dharapuram Road near Palladam. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town center, which means it’s a little quieter out here, except for the sound of the traffic on the main road. The post office is nearby, which is handy for us. Our facility is basically a large shed that we’ve set up for garment production. It’s got high ceilings to keep it cool, but on those really hot days, it still gets pretty warm inside. We have a lot of local folks from the surrounding villages coming in to work with us. Most of them have been sewing since they were kids. The rhythm of the machines is something you just get used to after an hour or so. We don't have any corporate protocols or fancy meetings. Usually, we just talk about what needs to be finished over lunch. There’s a lot of dust from the road, so we’re constantly wiping down the finished goods before they get packed. The yard outside is often full of fabric being loaded or unloaded. It’s a very basic setup, but it works for what we do. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby; we just want to make sure the clothes are made right and sent out on time to whoever ordered them. This is how we have always operated.
