Our unit is located at 91011 Kizhakkal Thottam in Sakthi Nagar, specifically in the Karumarampalayam area near the Mannarai Post. It’s a pretty large space because we have a lot of machinery to fit in. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the constant rhythmic sound of the knitting and stitching machines. It’s a sound that never really stops during the whole shift. The air always has a bit of lint floating around, which is just part of working with cotton and yarn every day. We have a lot of people working here, mostly from the surrounding villages and towns. It’s a busy atmosphere, with people moving carts of fabric from one section to another. We don't have a fancy office for managers; everyone is pretty much on the floor most of the time getting their hands dirty. The building itself is quite plain, just a big industrial structure that keeps the rain out and holds all our gear. We have a small area where we keep our lunch boxes and take breaks together. It’s not the most glamorous work, and the days can be quite long, especially when there’s a big order that needs to be finished on time. We focus on getting the garments done right rather than how the facility looks to outsiders. Most of us have been working in textiles our whole lives, so we don't need much instruction. We just come in and do the job.
