Macrotech Engineers

You can find us at No:64 on Banglow Street, which is just a short walk from the IDBI Bank near Avinashi Road. Macrotech Engineers has been in this neighborhood for some time. The street outside is usually lined with parked bikes and people heading to the bank. It is a pretty convenient spot since Avinashi Road is one of the main veins of the city. Our building is an older style one, nothing like those glass towers you see in the big IT parks. Inside, it smells a bit like metal and old paper. We have some heavy machinery and drafting tables where we spend most of our hours. The lighting could be better in the back room, but we make do with a few extra lamps. It is often quite loud because of the work we do, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other over the machines. There is a small tea shop on the corner where we usually go around four o'clock to stretch our legs. The neighborhood is mostly other small engineering firms and shops, so it feels like a real working-class area. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with sofas. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk straight into the work area and find us. It is a straightforward way of doing things. We keep our tools organized on the walls, though things do get messy during a big project. That is just how an engineering shop looks when it is actually busy.
