Lenzing Ag (India)

Our office is located up on the 5th floor of the Srivari Shrimat building, which sits right at 1045 on Avinashi Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets with traffic and people moving around. We handle the India operations for Lenzing from this spot. It isn't a factory with machines running; it’s a typical office where we spend most of our time on the phone or checking through emails and piles of documents. The view from our floor is just more buildings and the tops of trees along the road. We have a few desks scattered around and a small pantry where we make coffee. It’s a pretty standard setup. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. We don't have any big corporate slogans on the walls. Mostly, we are just looking at textile samples or talking about fiber shipments with people from across the country. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers in the spreadsheets actually match what’s happening on the ground. When it’s monsoon season, you can hear the rain hitting the windows quite loudly, but otherwise, it’s a quiet place to work. We just show up, do our tasks, and try to keep things organized. It’s just a group of regular people trying to keep the supply chain moving without too much unnecessary talk.
