Lango Garments

We are located at G6 in the V.A. Towers, which sits on Workshop Street in Kadharpet. Kadharpet is a busy market area, so there is always a lot of energy around us. Being in the V.A. Towers means we have a bit of a structured space, but it’s still just a workshop at the end of the day. Lango Garments is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for us to move the heavy bales of cloth in and out without much trouble. Workshop Street is exactly what it sounds like—a place where people are making things. You can hear the sounds of other businesses all day long. Inside our unit, G6, it’s mostly the rattle of the machines. We have a small crew and we all know each other well. There isn't a lot of extra room, so we have to stay organized with the scraps and the finished piles. Kadharpet is the kind of place where you have to be fast or you get left behind. We don't have any fancy showroom or a place for people to sit and have tea. It’s just the work floor and the machines. We show up, do the stitching, and get the orders ready for the buyers. It’s a practical way to run things, and the location in the towers works well for us. We’ve been here for some time now and it feels like home. It is a loud place.
