Exreme Embroideries

Exreme Embroideries is based on Kongu Main Road, specifically on Ranganathapuram 2nd Street. This area is known for all the textile work, so you can always hear the sound of machines humming from almost every building. Our shop is no different. We have several embroidery machines that take up most of the floor space. There are spools of thread in every color you can think of sitting on the tables and some even rolling around on the floor. It’s a busy place and it gets quite dusty with all the fabric lint flying around. We spend a lot of time threading needles and watching the patterns come to life on the cloth. The 2nd Street is narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, everything else has to stop. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. The lighting is very bright because we need to see the tiny stitches clearly. It’s not the kind of place where you’d come for a quiet chat. It’s a workshop, through and through. We work long hours when there’s a big order to finish, and the heat from the machines can be a lot in the summer months. We just focus on the work at hand and try to make sure every piece looks right before it goes out the door. It’s hard work, but we are used to it.
