Karthik Machine Works

Our place, Karthik Machine Works, is located at New No. 165 on Ellaithottam Road. Specifically, we’re on Rayappan Street in Peelamedu. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We’ve been doing machine work here for quite a while now. The shop is usually humming with the sound of tools and motors. We don't have any receptionists or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. Usually, if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. We do a lot of custom work and repairs for people around here. It’s the kind of place where you can bring a broken part and we’ll see if we can make it right. We don't use any big corporate language or marketing terms. We just talk like normal people because that’s who we are. Some days are long, especially when a machine breaks down and needs fixing right away for a client. We don't mind the hard work though. Peelamedu has a lot of small shops like ours, and we all kind of know each other. We aren't trying to change the world or do anything revolutionary. We just want to make sure the machines we work on are running the way they should. It’s a simple life, focused on metal, mechanics, and getting the job done right without a lot of talking.
