Kandhan Knitss

Kandhan Knitss is over here at No. 1/287-A on P N Road. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the trucks start moving and the dust gets kicked up. We spend most of the day around the knitting machines. They make a lot of noise, but after a few hours, you don't even notice it anymore. There’s always lint flying around in the air, and we have to sweep the floors twice a day just to keep up. Someone usually brings in tea around eleven, and we take a quick break near the front door where there's a bit of a breeze. The walls are painted a faded blue that’s peeling in a few places near the ceiling. We have stacks of yarn everywhere, mostly cottons and some blends, piled up in the corners. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we keep the big fans running all the time. P N Road can get really jammed with traffic, so we try to get our deliveries sorted out early before the rush. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and everything goes quiet, which is a weird feeling after the machines have been humming for hours. We just sit and wait for it to come back on. It’s just how things go around here. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and the neighbors know us by name. It isn't a fancy setup, just a workspace where we get the job done every day.
