Down in Sulur, specifically at 13, Sengaliappan Nagar, you will find our small shop. Jayalakshmi Engineerings Works has been operating out of this spot in Ranganathapuram for some years. It is a quiet enough corner compared to the main roads, but we still see plenty of activity. The building is not new, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves the purpose. We have our machines set up in the back where the light is a bit better during the morning hours. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other well. We do not have a big office or a reception desk because we are usually out on the floor actually doing the work. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but we just sweep it out and keep going. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops or houses, and we try to keep the noise down at night so we don't bother anyone. It is a simple setup without any big signs or flashing lights. If you walk down the street in Sengaliappan Nagar, you can hear the sounds of metal and tools from a distance. We handle things as they come and try to keep everything moving. It is not a complicated life here, just honest work done by hand most of the time.
