Jay Khodiyar Engineering Works

We’ve been here at G.I.D.C. Odhav for quite a while now. If you’re looking for Jay Khodiyar Engineering Works, we’re right on Adinath Road, which stays pretty busy most mornings. It’s easy to find us because we’re directly opposite the G.I.D.C. School and just a short walk from the Odhav Police Station. The area is full of workshops and the sound of machines running, and our place at L/601 is no different. It’s mostly just us working through the day, handling whatever engineering jobs come through the door. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with metal scraps and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. Some of the guys have been with us for years and they just get on with the welding or whatever needs doing without much fuss. We don’t have fancy offices or a big reception area, just a desk where we keep the papers and a few chairs for when someone drops by to talk about a job. During the afternoon, it gets quite hot in the shed, so we usually take a quick break for tea when the sun is at its worst. It’s a practical setup, nothing special to look at, but we’ve got the equipment we need to finish the tasks. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, just trying to keep the machines running and get the orders out on time. It is a loud and dusty part of town but it is where we work.
