We are located at No.9/12 on the first floor. It is right on Kuppanna Gounder Street. If you are in the Anupparpalayam Post area, you probably know where Periyar Colony is. Tiruppur is always busy with clothes and fabric, and Velampalayam is no different. We spend most of our time upstairs dealing with orders. You can hear the machines running most of the day. It’s a bit of a climb up to the first floor when we have heavy loads, but we are used to it by now. The workspace is filled with different types of apparel. There is thread everywhere and bits of cloth on the floor. We try to keep things organized, but it gets crowded when a shipment is ready to go out. The street outside is usually full of bikes and delivery vans. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in through the windows. We’ve been in this part of Tiruppur for a while. It’s a hardworking neighborhood. Usually, we take a break in the afternoon when it gets too hot. Indies Apparels isn't a big flashy place. It’s just a regular production spot where people come to work and get things done. We focus on the pieces we are making. Every day is pretty much the same routine of checking the stitching and packing things up. It’s honest work and we stay pretty occupied with the daily tasks that come our way on Kuppanna Gounder Street.
