India Knit Fashion is located right on Kangayam Road. If you know where the Laurel Hotel is, we are just directly across from it. It's a busy stretch of road. A lot of people are always coming and going from the hotel. Our building is a simple one. We’ve been here for a long time. Inside, it's mostly the sound of machines and people talking over them. Working with knits is what we know how to do. No fancy website or big marketing team exists for us. We just rely on the work we do every day. The shop floor is usually covered in lint and thread by the end of the shift. Someone sweeps it up before we head home, and then we start fresh the next morning. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so the big fans stay running. Impressing anyone with a shiny office isn't our goal. Instead, we have workstations and a small area for tea. Most of our workers live nearby and walk or bike to work. Many businesses have come and gone on Kangayam Road, but we’ve stayed put. No complex philosophy is needed here. Orders just need to be finished on time. Sometimes things break or deliveries are late, and we just deal with it. That is how it goes when you run a business like this. Keeping our heads down and working is what we do. It isn't always easy but we make it through the week.
