Hi-Tech Spring

Hi-Tech Spring is located in Nalukavalai Thottam, over in the Maniyakaram Palayam area. It is a bit out of the way for some people, but it is the right place for us because we need the space for our machinery. Making springs is a noisy and somewhat messy business. There is always the sound of metal clanking and the hum of machines running in the background. It is definitely not the kind of place where you would want to wear a nice white shirt. We are usually covered in a bit of oil or metal dust by the time the shift ends. We started this place because we knew how to make parts that actually last. It is not overly complicated work, but it does require a lot of patience and a good eye. The building itself is very simple, just a large open floor with our equipment set up wherever it fits best. We do not have a fancy sign outside or even a paved parking lot. It is just dirt and gravel out front. Inside, we are just busy making sure every spring we produce is the right size and has the right tension. Most of the people working here live right around the neighborhood. We know each other’s families and what is happening in the local community. It feels more like a small group of friends than a factory.
