Handy Think Engineering

Handy Think Engineering is down on Palani Andavar Koil Street in Neelambur. Our building is B No.1-504-S. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. We deal with engineering stuff, mostly small parts and repairs that people need. I started this because I liked fixing machines and it just grew from there. The workshop is usually full of metal scraps and the smell of oil. We have a few lathes and some old tools that still work better than the new ones. My neighbor at the next shop often comes over for tea in the afternoon. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just do the work as it comes in. Sometimes it's a lot, sometimes it's slow. That’s how engineering goes. You never know what's going to break next. We try to be fair with everyone who walks in. The street gets a bit muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time mopping the entrance. It's not a glamorous job, but it feels good to finish a part and see it fit perfectly. We’ve been at this Neelambur location for a good bit now. Most people around here know us by name. We just focus on the machines and the drawings. If something needs making, we figure out how to do it. It’s practical work for practical people. That’s about it for us. We keep the lights on and the tools sharp.
