Graveera Metal Industries

Our place is a bit out of the way at Ssnumber 543/3A in Chinna Andan. It is part of the Palayam Billichi Post area, so it feels a little more open than the big city industrial zones. Graveera Metal Industries is where we spend our days working with different types of metal sheets and parts. It is a large shed-like structure that keeps the rain off but doesn't do much for the heat. We have a small crew of local guys who come in every day to help with the heavy lifting and the cutting. Most of us live nearby so the commute isn't too bad. We don't have a big sign out front, just the work going on inside. Sometimes the goats from the nearby fields wander near the entrance and we have to shoo them away. It is a quiet kind of area until we start the machines up. We don't have any high-tech offices or air conditioning. We just have our tools and the work that needs to be done. People from the surrounding villages sometimes stop by to see if we can fix something for them. We try to be helpful when we can. It is just a straightforward metal shop where we work until the light starts to fade. We like the pace of things here even when it gets busy with a big order.
