Gowtham Engg. Co.

We have got our workshop, Gowtham Engg. Co., situated at No. 23 Lakshmi Nagar on Vadavalli Road. It is right in the Edayarpalayam area. If you are driving down that way, you might miss us if you are not looking, but we are there. It is an engineering place, so there is always the sound of machines or tools going in the background. We have been at this for quite some time now, mostly handling mechanical parts and small repairs for local businesses. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day, no matter how much we sweep up. It is just part of the job. My father started things here, and we have just kept it going the same way. We do not have a big corporate structure. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We take a break in the afternoon when it gets too hot, sitting outside for a bit. The regulars know they can just walk in and ask for help with whatever part they have broken. We do not have a secretary or anything like that. You just come to the back and find one of us. It is a simple life, focused on making things work and fixing what does not. We like being part of the Lakshmi Nagar community. It feels like home after all these years of working the same machines every day.
